Fit Guide and Guarantee

No two women are made alike, and that is why our garments are made from your precise measurements. We promise a little extra time and care is worth it for the perfect fit. The good news is, at home measuring is easy - no need to spend hours at a tailor. Just do it yourself, or recruit a friend or partner to help. You'll only need to do it once, as all our custom products use the same measurements and future orders are even more convenient. All measurements should be taken using a soft measuring tape and are recommended to be taken in form fitting clothing and your ‘typical’ undergarments - whatever those may be.

Measurement Instructions

Collar

Wrap the measuring tape around the neck; just above the meeting of your neck and shoulders. Make sure the tape is level and not being held at an angle. Insert a finger width to ensure a comfortable fit.

Shoulders

Your back should be straight, but your shoulders need to hang naturally in a relaxed position. Place the tape measure from the tip of one shoulder the other, following the natural curve of your body.

Sleeve Length

The measuring tape should be held at the shoulder seam of a fitted shirt and laid down along the outside of your bent arm down to your wrist where you want your shirt cuff to finish.

Shirt/Jacket Length

Place the end of the measuring tape on the shoulder seam touching your shirt collar. With your arm relaxed, measure the length straight down to the bottom of the fly, accounting for any curves of the body.

Armhole

The measuring tape needs to be wrapped around your armpit starting from the top of your shoulder. Insert a finger width to ensure a comfortable fit.

Bicep

When measuring your bicep, your arm should be as relaxed as possible. To ensure that your shirt fits properly, the bicep measurement should be taken around the thickest part of your bicep - this point will probably be high up on your arm. Insert a finger width to ensure a comfortable fit.

Wrist

Measure the circumference of your wrist at your wrist-bone. Insert a finger width to ensure a comfortable fit.

Chest

Measure around your chest and just under your armpits. Rest it securely around the widest part of your chest, which is often just above or at the nipple line. Insert a finger width to ensure a comfortable fit.

Waist

Hold the end of the tape measure at your navel and circle it around your waist. The measuring tape should be parallel to the floor and fit snugly around your torso without digging into your skin. Insert a finger width to ensure a comfortable fit.

If you would like your trousers high-waisted, please list this same measurement as 'Trouser Waist'.

Stomach

Hold the end of the tape measure between your bellybutton and hips, capturing any curves in your midsection. The measuring tape should be parallel to the floor and fit snugly around your torso without digging into your skin. Insert a finger width to ensure a comfortable fit.

If you would like your trousers mid-rise, please use this same measurement under 'Trouser Waist'.

Hips

Start at the top of your hip bone, then bring the tape measure all the way around your body, level with your belly button. Make sure it's not too tight and that it's straight, even at the back. Insert a finger width to ensure a comfortable fit.

If you would like low-rise trousers, please input this same measurement under 'Trouser Waist'.

Seat

Measure around the fullest part of your hips and seat (butt) with your legs together. Insert a finger width to ensure a comfortable fit.

Crotch/Rise

This measurement will depend on whether you prefer high, mid, or low-rise trousers. It's key to include any curves of the belly and butt into this measurement; otherwise, your pants will feel too snug.

High-rise: place the end of the measuring tape at your navel, bring it through your legs and up to the level point on your back.

Mid-rise: place the end of the measuring tape where you measured your stomach/midsection, bring it through your legs and up to the level point on your back.

Low-rise: place the measuring tape at hip-level, bring it through your legs and up to the level point on your back.

Thigh

Measure the circumference of the fullest part of your thigh. Wrap the tape measure around your thigh from front to back and then around to the front. Insert a finger width to ensure a comfortable fit.

Knee

Measure the circumference of the knee from the center of your kneecap while your knee is slightly bent. Insert a finger width to ensure a comfortable fit.

Calf

Wrap the measuring tape around the widest part of your calf. Insert a finger width.

Trouser Length

Measure from the top of where you prefer your trouser waist (high, mid, or low rise) along the outer side of your leg.

If you prefer to wear flat shoes, we advise noting the measurement one inch above the ground.

If you prefer to wear heeled shoes, we advise noting the measurement to the ground + your typical heel height minus one inch.
